Mercury Systems has been awarded a $7.9 million follow-on order for integrated microwave assemblies for an unmanned electronic warfare (EW) jamming application.

The Mercury announcement only identified the customer as a "leading defense prime contractor."

"This order further validates Mercury's leading role in working with our customers and the Department of Defense to support sophisticated EW jamming technology," said Mercury senior vice president Charlie Leader. "We're proud to deliver affordable [radio frequency] solutions that protect our war fighters by denying our enemies access to the electromagnetic spectrum, essential for maintaining air superiority in today's and tomorrow's conflicts."
