Adm. Michael Rogers, the former director of the National Security Agency and the head of U.S. Cyber Command, will join the board of directors of CyberCybe, a cyber risk analytics company, the firm announced Aug. 10.

This will be the first position Rogers has taken since his retirement from a 37-year military career.

CyberCube is a San Francisco based software company that focuses on cyber risk analytics for the insurance industry. The company was established in 2015 as part of Symantec, another cyber security company, but is now independent.

“The insurance industry has an increasingly important role to play in making companies more resilient to cyber attacks,” Rogers said in press release from CyberCube.

Rogers served as NSA director from 2014 to 2018.

Maddy is a senior at George Washington University studying economics.
